The Japanese driver joins the team to contest three rounds of the Formula 4 Spanish Championship in what will be his debut in European motorsport.
GRS Team is pleased to confirm the arrival of Ryusho Nakazato to the team. The young Japanese driver joins the Paterna-based squad to compete in three rounds of the Formula 4 Spanish Championship. His programme includes appearances at MotorLand Aragón (June 19–21), Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto (September 25–27), and Circuito de Navarra (October 9–11).
Nakazato will make both his Spanish Formula 4 and European motorsport debut. He made his debut in 2025, when he took part in the Japanese Formula 4 Championship. He is also competing in the series this season, having already scored points in the opening round. In addition, he took part in the 2026 UAE F4 Championship during the winter, where he gained his first experience with the Tatuus T-421 that he will race with GRS.
“Hi everyone! I’m very excited to join GRS Team and compete in the Spanish F4 Championship. This is a great opportunity for me, and I’m grateful to be part of such a professional team. I will work hard throughout the season, continue improving as a driver, and do my best to achieve strong results together with the team. I’m looking forward to this new challenge and can’t wait to get started. Thank you for your support!” – Ryusho Nakazato, driver.
“We are delighted to welcome Ryusho to GRS. This will be a very important step in his career, as he adapts to a competitive environment that is quite different from what he has experienced so far. The team will do everything possible to make this transition as smooth as possible, allowing him to showcase his full potential on track. We would like to thank him for the trust he has placed in GRS, and we are confident that this collaboration will be beneficial for both parties” – Josep Trinidad, CEO & Team Manager.
Next week, GRS Team will contest the third round of the Formula 4 Spanish Championship at MotorLand Aragón. It will also mark Ryusho’s first experience with the team.
